Welcome to BC Tools, a service operated by BitCrunching ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our BC Tools and browser-based utilities Creative Hub (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Services.
1. Privacy Guarantee & On-Device Processing
Our Services primarily Creative Hub tools operate entirely on the client side. This means all file processing—including image conversion, compression, file combining, and metadata stripping—takes place directly within your web browser, no server used.
- Your files are never uploaded to our servers. We do not collect, view, store, sell or possess any content or files you process through our tools.
- Built-in scanner: every tool runs a live network check during processing and shows the result right in the tool header — look for the "> BC_Tools_bot:" line after using any tool. Please report to us immediately if you encounter a safety breach.
- The On-Device Guarantee does not apply to the report button ("Report a bug", translation suggestions and feedback). When you decide to send a report, you share data as stated in section 2 of the Privacy Policy. Reports are not anonymous.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
All content, code, custom styling, layout structures, and graphical assets featured on BC Tools are the exclusive property of BitCrunching and are protected by international copyright laws.
- You may use our tools for personal or commercial creative projects.
- You may not copy, scrape, mirror, reverse-engineer, or redistribute our underlying source code or core assets without explicit written permission.
3. Language & Translation
The official and legally binding language of BC Tools is English.
- Translations: Any translations of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or Cookie Policy into other languages are provided solely for your convenience.
- Typographical Errors: Grammatical mistakes, minor translation discrepancies, typographical errors, or clerical oversights in any non-English version shall not be used to invalidate these Terms, alter their intended meaning, or form the basis of any legal claims against us.
- Source of Truth: In the event of any conflict, the English version shall always prevail as the definitive legal text.
- Report a Translation Error: We want our tools to be accessible to everyone. If you spot a typo, awkward translation, or grammatical mistake in your native language, please help us improve by reporting it with the report button.
4. Acceptable Use Rules
You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes. You are strictly prohibited from using automated bots, scripts, or scrapers to overwhelm the visual environment, or attempting to inject malicious code into the website's execution framework.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is")
BC Tools provides all utilities on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, that the file processing will be completely error-free, compatible with every single file type and/or device, or that the service will be entirely uninterrupted. If you find any issues, please help us improve by reporting them.
Cleanly's metadata removal is a best-effort scan for common patterns (like GPS and camera tags). It can't guarantee a file has no hidden data, so check anything highly sensitive before sharing it.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BitCrunching and its creator shall not be held liable for any damages—including, without limitation, data loss, business interruption, or system crashes—resulting from your use, or inability to use, our tools.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any legal disputes arising under these terms shall be settled exclusively in the competent courts of the Netherlands.
